1. What is the starting and last date for applying this post?
Ans- The facility of on-line application (including payment of fees through debit card) will be available from 8-10-2016 to 7-11-2016 (5.00 pm). However candidates who wish to make the payment through challan of SBI may be allowed to make the payment within the working hours of bank upto 07-11-2016 provided the challan has been generated by them before 5.00 PM of 4-11-2016.

2. How many vacancies are there?
Ans- 5134 
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, DEO and Court Clerks are 3281, 1321, 506 and 26 respectively.

3. What is pay scale for these posts?
Ans- Pay of the Posts:
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant PB -1(Rs. 5200-20200) Grade Pay 2400 (pre-revised)
Data Entry Operator : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (pre-revised)
Data Entry Operator : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (pre-revised)
Lower Division Clerk: Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (pre-revised)
Court Clerk: Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (pre-revised)

4. What is age limit for this recruitment?
Ans- Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 01.01.2017 (Candidates born not before 02-01-1990 and
not later than 01-01-1999).
Relaxation in age vary according to different cataegories.

5. How to apply for this recruitment?
Ans-Applications must be submitted only in online mode. Detailed instructions as in
www.ssconline.nic.in may be referred to.

6. What is the mode of examination?
Ans- Computer based online exam.
There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

8. What will be the items that one has to carry along with Admit card at the time of exam?
Ans- Candidates should bring 3 passport size colour photographs. Candidates not carrying photographs may not be allowed to appear in the examination.
