Justice HL Dattu to be Next Chief Justice of India



 Justice HL Dattu is all set to be the next Chief Justice of India. Justice Dattu had joined the Supreme
Court as a judge in 2008. He began practicing in Bangalore after enrolling as an advocate in 1975. As a lawyer he dealt in all types of legal matters - civil, criminal, tax or even Constitutional cases. He was elevated as a judge of the Karnataka High Court in 1995. He has also served as the Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court for a few months in 2007 and was transferred to Kerala High Court.
CJI Lodha retires on the 27th of this month after which Justice Dattu will have a tenure of more than a year till December 2015.
