SBI Associate PO Syllabus

 Dear Readers, as we all know SBI Associate Po exam scheduled in November 2014. We are providing you detailed syllabus that help you in exam.

Selection procedure of SBI Associate Consist of Two Phases-
Phase- I first consist of two parts
i) Objective paper of 200 marks which consist 4 sections, each of 50 marks in online form.(Duration 2 hours
ii) Descriptive paper of 50 marks. ( 1 hour)

Note- Online objective paper will be followed by Descriptive offline paper. (Total Duration - 3 hour)


Online exam consisit of 4 parts-
i) Test of English language which consisit of (50 marks)
a) Comprehension (Lengthy and tough ones) 1- 15 questions
b) Cloze test (1-10 questions)
c) Fill in the blanks (usually double blank type) 1-5 questions
d) paragraph rearrangement
e) Antonyms, synonyms or idiom phrases also a part of paper usually

ii)Test of General Awareness, marketing and computer comes combine in SBI exams- 50 marks
General awareness questions includes banking awareness, current affairs of last 3-4 months, important days, international organisation and sometimes 1-2 questions from history or geography.

Marketing consist of basic concepts of marketing like product, market, segmentation,7 ps  branding etc.
>Study Marketing notes  

Computer section not so hard as compare to other parts- it consist of questions related with internet, application software, operating system, memory, parts of computer and generation of computers.

iii) Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation- 50 marks
It consist of data interpretation of 50 marks usually one D.I with 5 questions so 10 DI in total.
It includes Pie chart, Bar Graph, Data chart , probability etc.

iv) Test of Reasoning (High Level)- 50 marks
It consist of Input-output, puzzles, statement argument, statement and conclusion, statement and assumption, decision making, direction, Blood relation etc.

Descriptive paper- consist of 4- 5 questions. Duration 1 hour
It includes- a) essay writing
b) Letter
c) precis writing
d) Questions and answers based on paragragh

Phase- II- Group Discussion and Interview
Group discussion - 20 marks
Interview- 30 marks

Note- Candidates has to qualify Both Phases - I and II. Marks secured by the candidates in the Written Test (out of 250 marks) are converted to out of 75 and marks secured in Group Discussion & Interview (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating converted marks of Written Test and Group Discussion & Interview out of 100 for each category
