National Insurance Company Syllabus and Exam Pattern

National Insurance Company Ltd. invites applications for recruitment of 362 (Three Sixty Two) Officers in Scale I cadre from open market.

Selection Procedure- contains
1. Online Exam
2. Interview

The final selection will be made on the basis of overall performance in Online Examination and Interview.
A) Candidates will be called for online examination to be held on various dates in April, 2015.The test comprises of the following-



Note: All the questions will be objective type with alternative choices out of which one will be correct answer. The candidate has to select the correct answer and “ mouse click” that alternative which he or she feels correct. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidates. The objective test ex cept on “ English Language” will be bilingual (in English and in Hindi). For each wrong answer marked ¼ of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted from those obtained. The alternative/option that is clicked on will be highlighted and will be treated as answered to that question.

The Descriptive English Test will be conducted only through online mode. Questions will be displayed on the screen of your computer . Answers are to be typed using the keyboard. Before star t of typing answer s to questions in Descriptive Paper please check all key functions of the keyboard. You will get 45 minutes to answer the questions.
The total marks of the examination will be 200 which includes 40 mar ks of the English Descriptive Section. Candidates will be shortlisted for Interview on the basis of over all mar ks scored in objective and descriptive section taken together against full marks of 200.
Candidates will have to appear for the online examination at their own expenses.

Cut off Score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score for short listing for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for short listing.
The above tests, except the Test of English Language, will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

Syllabus

1. Reasoning-Questions will be asked from analogy, syllogism, Decision making, coding, decoding, statement argument, statement and assumptions , puzzles, blood relation, series , statement and course of action.

2. English- Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks , comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar

3. General Awareness- Questions in this section covers recent updates that are going around means appointments,person in news, sports events etc.. The test will also include the questions relating to India and its neighboring countries pertaining to history, culture. geography, economics, general polity, scientific research etc.

4. Quantitative Aptitude - Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Data Interpretation

Note :- For Specialist Post questions will be ask from relevant discipline. So Focus on the basic Concepts  of Respective Discipline of Finance, Automobile Engineering & Legal.
