1. Bengaluru ranked world’s most dynamic city: JLL Index 

1. According to recently released annual by Jones Lang LaSalle’s City Momentum Index (CMI), Bengaluru (capital of Karnatak) has emerged as the most dynamic city in the world. 
2. The index tracks the speed of change of a city’s economy and commercial real estate market. It covers 134 major established and emerging business hubs and ranks them on parameters like technology, connectivity, population, education and real estate investments. 


2. Government launches ShaGun portal to monitor Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan

1. The Union Government launched a dedicated web portal ShaGun (http://ssashagun.nic.in) for monitoring the progress of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA). 
2. The portal was developed by World Bank in collaboration with Union Ministry of Human Resource Development. Its name has been derived from the words Shala (means schools) and Gun (i.e. Gunvatta meaning Quality).


3. Second Raisina Dialogue held in New Delhi

1. The second edition of Ministry of External Affairs’ annual Raisina Dialogue was held in New Delhi with the theme “The New Normal: Multilateralism in a multipolar world”. 
2. The flagship geo-political conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and was attended by delegates from 65 countries.


4. Alibaba becomes worldwide Olympic partner through 2028

1. Chinese online giant Alibaba today became the worldwide Olympic partner through 2028 after signing the first long-term partnership with International Olympic Committee (IOC).
2. Alibaba will become the official cloud services and e-commerce platform services partner as well as the founding partner of the Olympic Channel, Alibaba Founder and Executive Chairman Jack Ma announced at a press conference here on the sidelines of WEF Annual Meeting 2017.
3. IOC President Thomas Bach said Alibaba will help the organisation move ahead in the new digital era.
4. Ma said Alibaba has become the first Chinese company to commit to the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and also the first ever company globally to make a long-term commitment to the IOC through 2028.


5. FIFA appoints Praful Patel as member of its finance committee

1. FIFA has appointed All India Football Federation (AIFF) president Praful Patel as a member of its Finance Committee for the period of 2017-2021. 
2. The FIFA Finance Committee monitors the financial management and advises the FIFA Executive Committee on financial matters and asset management. It also analyses the FIFA budgets and the financial statements prepared by the FIFA General Secretary and submits them to the FIFA Executive Committee for approval.
